Moderation

Spent last week in London and Cambridge. I had to work near St. Paul's cathedral, which is pretty central. Decided I'd go to Covent Garden after work, just to listen to some classical music in the square, as there is almost always a stringed quartet or an opera singer, bellowing in front of an open violin case or an up-turned hat in the vicinity. People tend to sip coffee in the cafe on the concourse, pretending to be unpretentious, looking unphased, giving an impression of being not-so impressed by the talent before them, no matter how amazing. To justify dropping coppers instead of notes, perhaps? (Note: My current state of cynicism is a temporary phase and is mostly attributed to lack of sleep.)

But hey. All things in moderation, eh? Cynicism, enthusiasm, drive, lethargy. Even moderation. Yes.... moderation, definitely, in moderation. *yawn*
