My Valentine

It's Valentines day. Let me share my lunchtime experience with you.

City centre. Along the aisles of Tesco’s, next to the bread section - always a hot spot for random chat up's. (People tend to stand around for ages, deciding what type of bread to buy!) 20 mins of your life, wasted by one decision of whether it should be granary, or brown, or malted, or gluten free, or soda baked, or white but with seeds, or brown with the taste of white, or square cut, or not cut at all...

Next thing you know, someone is looking your way, saying “why, hello...do I know you from somewhere?..” You look up.... you see a man who looks about 45, wearing a Black Sabbbath t-shirt and black leather trousers that are 2 sizes too tight. He has chest hair peeking out from the top of his t-shirt.. You blink...you stare blankly... You inch back slowly, grabbing a loaf of anything.

You half-smile. “Urh... know you from somewhere?" You try to recall a vague point in time when you might have conversed with Ozzy Osbourne's twin brother and accidentally give him the wrong idea....to your relief, you realise you havent met him before. "No...I don’t think so..” you smile again and politely make your way to the checkout.

True romance.
