Murder

Murderer!! The thoughts of self-condemnation are immense, and so I try hiding behind a chocolate bar. It doesnt work; the chocolate gets eaten and I'm defenseless once again. I fling my chocolate wrapper against the poisonous arrows of accusation; it hangs limp in my hand and I sense ominous defeat. "Murderer".....the voices emanate from inside me. I cower. I whimper.
Yes, okay, okay!!! I'll admit it. I killed Lily. It was neglect...I didnt mean to. I've been so busy. I killed Ivy two months ago. She was a fighter, I'll give her that. I killed Rosemary a few months back... *SOB!!!* I am a serial house plant killer!!! So there!!! I need help! Somebody... find me a support group, please.
I wake up in the morning. I think, "Note to self: Water plants." I go to work, having forgotten. At work, I take a post it note. I write "Water plants". I stick it on my computer. I rush to a meeting. While it drones on, I take out my organiser. I circle the date in red and write "WATER PLANTS!!" and underline it three times. I eventually go home. It's late...I'm tired. I fall asleep. I wake up in the morning. I think, "Note to self: Water plants".....

hmmmm.... One way I guess is to make it part of your daily routine to water them. As daily as waking up and brushing your teeth! I had to learn this too, to avoid any fatalities ;)

Try putting a watering can or cup of some sort close to the nearest tap to the plant, and make a mental note to water the plants right before you leave to go to work. One week of this and it will become habit =)

totally dude... well, okay. my huge 4foot yukka plants died... and the lillies are half hanging between life and death. But I have saved the rest!! My lime tree is doing well, and so is my big rubber tree plant. Your advice, my dear, has been great. =)

Yay! G'donya! You are a life-saving plant hero! ;)
Wow you have many plants. Mum must have rubbed off her love of gardening on you, somewhat =)

gosh can yuccas die? ;) try keeping them for a bit, trim off the dead bits and see if any green comes back, come summer. Water them in the mean time, maybe once a week since it's still cold. Ditto to any other plants that have 'died': trim off, water once a week, and wait for warmer weather.

Those peace lilies, they are pretty tough plants. Fingers crrossed, they should survive come spring.

Rubber trees are great indoor plants (if these are the same ones I know: black leaves with tan undersides? new leaves form red/orange 'spike' in the middle?).

All the best ;)
