Urgent Memo

I can't believe it's Friday already! Today, we are all leaving the firm at 4:30pm - a total shutdown. It's been a long week and so this evening, we've booked a little underground restaurant in the city - gonna have dinner and well earned dessert together. I think there will be 16 of us going...the weather is getting chillier and it'd be nice to snuggle in a brick and timber tavern with a mug of ale. We've agreed that we aren't allowed to talk about work. Anything but work...

Today's "urgent memo" that was being passed round the office was the restaurant menu for tonight! It had a clause under it saying "Dieters will not be tolerated and may be prosecuted for blatant disregard to the conscience of those who may wish to eat freely". *lol*.....

I feel so blessed that my colleagues make the effort to meet up outside of work. Sometimes you can find yourself working alongside someone for years without ever knowing them. Here, I find that I've been thrown into an immediate family - which is weird, but it's fantastic.

Mnmmnnmnm.....and when I get home, I'll have a nice, hot, bubbly Lavender bath. Switch off all the lights, have a couple of candles lit and let good ol' Mr. Cullum croon to me while I drift far, far away.
