Having a bad day?

I had a headache this morning, I stubbed my toe in the kitchen, I missed the bus, I got mud splashed onto my new shoes, I stepped on chewing gum, I fell over a brick and hurt my ankle, I was late for work. I'm starving coz I didnt have time for lunch, I forgot my umbrella and it rained on the way home, I couldnt find my keys and was stuck outside my house for 2 hours until the locksmith changed the lock, which he charged me $40 for. Sound like a bad day to you? Well.....

24 people starve to death every minute, 18 of them children.
- United Nations annual worldwide mortality statistics -

Eight babies under one month old die every minute worldwide because they do not receive adequate health care.
- United Nations Save The Children report -

Every year, more people die from suicide than war.
- World Health Organisation statistics -

Poverty kills one child every three seconds.
-The United Nations Hunger Project-

It puts things in perspective, huh.

It's wonderful that you can put things in perspective like that.
For me, if my day goes sour, that's it... I'm so self-absorbed that I don't care what's going on around me. All I care about is me and my pain... not very healthy aye?
God has given you a gift, use it well =)

I dont think youre self absorbed. Thing is, we all get self absorbed sometimes; its human nature to. I think Gods given you loads of gifts too - loyalty, encouragement, goodwifeness (dont bother lookin it up in the dictionary, its a spontaneous Linda-word!) intelligence, humility, kindness, compassion, gentleness, the gift of friendship... and you've blessed me with who you are and who youve been in my life.
